Danny Trejo recalls encounter with Charles Manson in LA prison: ‘He could have been a professional hypnotist’

Danny Trejo shared memories of meeting with Charles Manson in the Los Angeles prison.

The actor talks about how he met Manson in his recently released memoir, Trejo

According to Trejo, the meeting took place in 1968, a year before the murder of the Manson family.

In his memoirs, Trejo does not immediately reveal Manson’s identity, describing him at first as “a fat, dirty, skinny white boy.”

According to him, Manson told Trejo and his inmates that he could hypnotize them, making them think they were on drugs and heroin.

“If this white boy wasn’t a professional criminal, he could be a professional hypnotist,” Trejo notes, “someone who went to high schools and state fairs and made people go on stage and act like cats and all. “.

Trejo then reveals Manson’s name, adding, “But he was actually a professional criminal. Hi there Charles Manson. “

In January 1971, Manson was convicted of the murder of seven people, including actor Sharon Tate, for first degree murder. He was originally sentenced to death, but that sentence was changed to life imprisonment after California abolished the death penalty in 1972.

Manson died of natural causes in 2017.
